The FlowRider® US FLOW Tour Championship week wrapped up with a ton of action in Ogden, Utah last week! Now, Canada, Europe and Asia’s FLOW Tours are ready for their own action-packed competitions. First stop on the Asian Tour is at Wave House Sentosa in Singapore and Surf Lounge Ibiza will now host the European FLOW Tour Championships on September 23rd.
First and foremost though, the Canadian FLOW Tour will proudly flies its flag this year by increasing the number of competitions and adding a new venue to the tour stops.
After breaking off from the North American FLOW Tour in 2015 and establishing their own series of competitions, the Canadian venues are supporting the local riders and establishing a league of their own.
Eastlink Centre is scheduled to host a Pro/Am while Maeva Surf is set to host the Canadian Championships. FLOW Tour members will accumulate points from both events to determine their overall season final rankings
“There are a lot of hidden talents north of the border,” mentioned Adam Muller, Tour coordinator and judge, when asked about the potential for Team Canada at Worlds. “Let’s just hope they all show at the regional events for a chance to qualify and make sure we get the best riders to the World Championships.” Muller added.
Last season, Kade Cox and Jonathan Hintz claimed Canadian FLOW Tour Championship titles at West Edmonton Mall and represented Team Canada at the 2016 FlowRider World Flowboarding Championships hosted at Wave House Sentosa.
