The Flowboarders Tribe

Have you ever cold called somebody? If you have, you know it’s not the easiest thing in the world to do and you can never what to expect. Generally, in ends with the other end hanging up the phone.

However, not this story! You never know who is going to pick up the phone and what good could come out of it, so just send it!

This past March, Boomer was in Newport Beach, California cruising the coast with some buddies. Being as social as he is and being a part the flowboarders community, he connected the dots and soon realized that FlowRider, Inc. HQ was in San Diego, CA (a quick 80 miles down the coast). He figured he would try to make some new flow friends.

Boomer had been flowboarding for roughly seven years by this time but had recently developed more of a passion and was taking that passion to a more serious level.

When Boomer called up FlowRider headquarters, our very own Adam Muller answered the phone.  They talked briefly before Boomer was welcomed with open arms and they immediately schedule a “board meeting.”

Adam (left) & Boomer (right) share the same passion to grow the flow community and increase awareness for flowboarding as a sport, so they hit it off quickly.

Throughout the day they shared flow stories, content ideas and what they both hoped to be future endeavors.  Which eventually lead to the story of how @FlowCiety AKA “The Flowboarders Tribe” was born! The FlowCiety group has deemed themselves the Flowboarders Tribe.

A tribe is defined as a:

“a social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect, typically having a recognized leader.”

That is what this flowboarders.com community is all about.  The website is an all-inclusive, interactive hub for the community to share various flowboarding stories and proudly showcase themselves!  Because we all know not everyone can do what we can do on the wave!

With that said, we are excited to team up with these dudes to continue growing the flow together.  Stay social and if you check out their Instagram or YouTube you will see some awesome content, their latest edits (which are always worth a watch) and of course their most popular posts, #BabeOfTheDay.

Here is a classic example of how the two have worked together recently.

In addition to putting together a video for a board review, Adam linked the Flowciety crew up with Chad Wright, a local flowboarder at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and a FR Team Ambassador.  Chad was returning from a long road trip, cruising through Arizona, Chad had an itch and was looking to catch a session on the FlowRider. Can you blame him?  We all know how dry that desert gets!

Needless to say, we know some people who know some people! So stay social!

With all stars aligning, Chad hit up Adam, Adam hit up Flowciety, who hit up Mesa Rhodes Aquatic Center, who allowed a private flow session for the filming of these videos!

The “bromance and/or “flowmance” is alive and strong.  Here is of the first FlowRider + Flowciety segments featuring some initial product testing of the NEW 2018 Graphite Shuv-It models.
